Controls Specialist

This two day course will cover Cooper Lighting Solution's product offerings from  basic sensors to advanced systems.  Participants will receive a comprehensive overview of of integrated and wireless systems as well as an understanding of their application. Wiring and installation details and overall functionality will also be highlighted within the discussed applications. We will review the Cooper Lighting Solution's control offerings including:

  • Greengate Panels / Room Controller
  • DLVP System
  • Halo Home System
  • Wavelinx Wired
  • Wavelinx Wireless
  • Wavelinx Low voltage
  • Trellix system overview and demo.

Who should attend:  persons who are involved in the specification or sales of lighting  and controls projects, contractors, and quotations

Prerequisites:     Participants should have completed Introduction to Controls or have a controls background. There may be e-Learning modules to complete prior to attendance.

Controls - Greengate Commissioning Certification
4-Day Workshop

This three day long course will focus on the Greengate line of lighting panels and sensors which are used to implement desired control strategies.  Participants will gain an understanding of the various systems which include; Room Controller, LiteKeeeper, ControlKeeper, and ControlKeeper T.  The class begins with an overview of the various sensor offerings and how they are commissioned for use with our panels.  The students then progress on to setup, wiring, sensor integration and programming of each panel type using the Keeper Enterprise software package.  Programming labs are used to fortify course material and to help foster teamwork amongst the group when solving simulated lighting scenarios. 

Greengate lighting control panels offer stand-alone, networkable, centralized, and distributed solutions for projects of varying sizes, control requirements, and load types.  The energy saving capabilities of these cost-effective panels allow for effective code compliance with any control strategy.  Some panels allow for programming via onboard user interface, and all panels are programmable via the Keeper Enterprise software package.

 

Tuition Includes:  Commissioning hardware and programming software ($500 value) Breakfast and Lunch Daily; Transportation from Group hotel to the SOURCE daily; Transportation to the airport at the conclusion of the workshop; Dinner the first evening; Participants are responsible for transportation from the airport to Peachtree City, Georgia, Hotel and other expenses.

Prerequisites

Cooper Lighting Solution's Controls Specialist course or equivalent knowledge.

Lighting Fundamentals/Lighting Basics
$600.00 - 3-Day Workshop

This three-day workshop focuses on the fundamentals of lighting, which includes lighting technologies such as LEDs, lamp and ballast systems, lighting terminology, fixture types, cost of light, photometry and an introduction to lighting controls. Participants will be able to actively engage and apply skills learned throughout each session while interacting with instructors and classmates. Lighting Fundamentals is not only a course for those new to the lighting industry but also a refresher course for those who are looking to re-establish the basics of their lighting knowledge.
